Erfolgreiche Therapien wurden abgesetzt…

In Gießen und Hamburg wurden Patienten mit der Variante D313Y per Telefon bzw. per Mail informiert, dass sie ab sofort keine Therapie mehr erhalten. Es ist kein Fabry mehr. Die Patienten haben nach dem Ende der Behandlung auch relativ schnell gesundheitliche Probleme bekommen, eine Patientin war bereits in der Notaufnahme….

Wir kämpfen schon lange um die Anerkennung der “umstrittenen” Varianten, aber dass jetzt erfolgreiche Therapien abgebrochen werden, ist das schlimmste was passieren konnte.

Aber wir geben nicht auf!

In Gießen and Hamburg, patients with variant D313Y were informed by phone or by mail that they will no longer receive therapy with immediate effect. It is no longer Fabry. The patients also developed health problems relatively quickly after the end of treatment, one patient was already in the emergency room….

We have been fighting for a long time for the recognition of the “controversial” variants, but that now successful therapies are discontinued is the worst thing that could happen.

But we are not giving up!
